What's new
The changes in every version of To-inbox, newest first.
Version 1.2.9
11 October 2026
- Scheduled items can now be fully edited: text, label and time
- Labels also show their own colour on scheduled items
- New look for pop-ups, with an icon and in line with the rest of the app
- You can turn off the tips on the home screen in Appearance
- If a link has a broken image (such as a 404 page), To-inbox now uses its own image in the email
- The text field no longer stays pink after you tap it
- Account: signing in with Google is the recommended way and the app password is a manual option. Disconnect now explains that the permission in your Google account is also revoked
- Refreshed welcome email with label colours and new tips
- More compact buttons, and Smit Media on the Developer screen opens the developer's Play page
Version 1.2.8
11 October 2026
- New languages in the app: French, German, Polish, Italian and Flemish
- Subtle haptic feedback on switches, option buttons and when swiping in the label list
- History: items slide and fade smoothly when removed or when searching
- Welcome email button now shows clearly when it has been sent
- Home and scheduled items: the list glides smoothly when something is added or removed
Version 1.2.7
9 October 2026
- In the introduction, messages now appear above the Next button instead of covering it
- Fewer unnecessary messages where the screen already shows what is happening
- New step in the introduction: choose right away whether you get a notification when a scheduled item has been sent and whether it is sent exactly on time
- Notifications in the status bar have a clearer icon (envelope with link)
- Clear confirmation that the welcome email has been sent
- Better guidance when Android blocks background sending (Data Saver or Background data)
- Donation card calmer and without emoji, at the bottom of the Developer screen
Version 1.2.6
9 October 2026
- Report a problem in the menu now goes to the new support address
Version 1.2.4
9 October 2026
- Sharing long text now always works, even when the text is very long
- Attachments with the same name no longer overwrite each other
- Monthly repeats stay on the right day: an item on the 31st goes to the last day in February and back to the 31st in March
- Every sent item gets its own notification, and tapping a notification opens the right item
- Smoother with large attachments: the screen keeps moving and double-tapping Send no longer sends two emails
- Safer sending with an app password: an encrypted connection is now required
- Privacy policy clarified: what Recently sent keeps and which services the link preview uses
Version 1.2.3
8 October 2026
- Share menu: choose how many labels To-inbox offers (1 to 5), in Preferences > Labels in share menu
- Home screen: recently sent items show the subject on one line, so all rows are the same height
- Home screen: one tip at a time. After your first share you see the tip to pin To-inbox first
- Share card: now also fits phones with navigation buttons, so the labels no longer sit under the buttons
Version 1.2.2
8 October 2026
- Setup: the 'Choose your first labels' screen is simpler, with more suggested labels to choose from
- Labels: new 'How labels work' section, with what you can do in Gmail, how to create a filter and how to export all filters in one go
- Home screen: recently sent items in the same style as History, as many as fit on your screen. Tap an item to open, copy, resend or remove it
- Share card and Pro window: more compact and easier to scan
- Fixed: 'Waiting to send' stayed visible after undo
Version 1.2
7 October 2026
- New: History. See your last 5 sent items. With Pro you can search back up to 500 items, with a filter by label
- New in Pro: statistics, with counts by label and by type and your most shared websites
- The history is stored on your device and is included in your phone's backup. You can clear it at any time
Version 1.1.2
7 October 2026
- Share window: 'Remind me later' now also lets you pick your own date and time
- Notification for a scheduled reminder or note: if it contains a link, tapping the notification opens that link straight away
- Preferences: 'Exactly on time' is now an expandable option under 'Notify for scheduled items'
- Donation card under Developer: a clearer choice between a cup of coffee and coffee with cake. The amount is shown on the button
Version 1.1.1
5 October 2026
- New app icon: the link is now white and stands out better, even at small sizes. Inside the app the logo is a rounded square
- Labels on the home screen take up less space: more compact chips and fuller rows
- A selected label keeps its width, so the labels no longer jump around when you tap one
- Custom subject for a label: new {prefix} field for the text from Account. You decide whether and where that text and the smart tag appear; existing subjects stay the same
- Pro overview shorter and calmer: a list of what you have unlocked
Version 1.1
4 October 2026
- Color per label: pick one of 10 colors under Labels. You see it with the label in the app, in the share sheet, on the app icon shortcuts and in the email
- Labels: swipe left to edit a label and right to delete it. The list is calmer, with the handle for moving on the far right
- New label? The edit sheet opens right away, so you can pick a color or custom subject straight away
- Smart subject tags can now be emoji: 🔗 instead of [Link], without brackets (Preferences)
- The wide New reminder widget has been removed. The round button (1x1) stays
Version 1.0.3
2 October 2026
- Privacy wording made clearer: the app itself has no ads, analytics or trackers. Your mail lands in your own Gmail, where Google's terms apply
Version 1.0.2
2 October 2026
- If your phone uses a language To-inbox does not have yet, the app is now in English instead of Dutch
- The tile, widgets and shortcuts are in English in that case too
Version 1.0.1
2 October 2026
- Google sign-in: the app now checks right away whether it may send email and asks for that permission again if needed
- Clearer message when the permission to send email is missing, instead of "access expired or revoked"
- A limit at Google is no longer shown as a sign-in problem; the app tries again later
- The Data Saver warning now stays until you open the setting or close the card, even if the block has gone in the meantime
